Pender CHC staff, volunteer services and our eASI portfolio clerk are busy organizing the 2012 DTES flu blitz planned for October 9 – 26. We are actively seeking nurses willing to give the flu vaccine on an outreach basis. What does this entail, you ask? Each day, Monday through Friday, we send 3 teams of two nurses and two volunteers to sites around the DTES where local residents are offered the flu vaccine. It is truly a lot of fun with great comeraderie and an opportunity to enhance the health of the local residents.
