UBC Hospital patient thankful for exceptional care
Mr. Andrew Johns surrounded by wife Crystal and his care team at UBC Hospital – Maxime Hawkins, Patient Care Coordinator, Carolyn Iker, Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Steven Sutcliffe, Marietta Tang, Occupational Therapist, Rinku Kaur, RN and Andrea Metcalfe, Physiotherapist
Grateful patient Andrew Johns recently underwent hip replacement surgery at the Surgical Short Stay Unit at UBC Hospital. His surgery was a result of osteoarthritis in his left hip developed after years of playing hockey, surfing, cycling and swimming.
During his post-operative stay, Mr. Johns was cared for by an attentive team of health care professionals who provided him with superior quality of care. Inspired by the care he received at UBC Hospital, Mr. Johns made a generous donation to VGH & UBC Foundation benefiting patient care at our hospitals.
Mr. Johns and his family are proud to support our hospitals and applaud the hard work of our health care teams in every part of the continuum of care.
