The Volunteer Resources Department for VGH/UBCH/GFS & GPC, in partnership with Artsway and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, is again offering staff the opportunity to attend the concerts listed below for a minimum donation of $10 cash per ticket. This donation will be used to support Artsway and volunteer programs within our portfolio. Artsway is the presentation name of Health Arts Society, which is dedicated to bringing profession performing arts to audiences in healthcare sites. This is our last set off tickets for this VSO season.
The Merry Pranks of Till Eulenspiegel
Saturday, May 4th or Monday, May 6th
7:05 pm: Pre-Concert Talk

The Orpheum Theatre
Conductor: Kazuyoshi Akiyama
Performer: Ingrid Fliter, Piano
Repertoire:
Berlioz: Le Corsaire
Mendelssohn: Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor
Bartok: Divertimento for Strings
Strauss: Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks
One of the great interpreters of the classical repertoire, pianist Ingrid Fliter always delivers exhilarating performances, and is right at home with the music of Mendelssohn. Richard Strauss’s funky, fantastic tone poem about the kooky exploits of Till Eulenspiegel makes for a satisfying concert finale (well, for the audience, not for Till!)
