Tuesday, May 14 is Election Day in B.C.
A bedside voting process will take place for patients who would like to vote while staying at VGH. Ballot Coordinators representing Elections BC will be visiting acute care inpatient units beginning at 9:45 am on Tuesday, May 14.
Staff and visitors are encouraged to use the advance polling process or to visit their regular station in their electoral district to vote.
At VGH, a polling station will be set up in the Diamond Courtyard on the Ground floor of the Jim Pattison Pavilion for staff and visitors who are unable to vote in advance or visit their regular polling station on Election Day. Voting hours in the Courtyard will be 8:00 am – 8:00 pm on May 14.
In order to vote, staff and visitors will need their:
- “Where to Vote” card
- driver’s licence or two pieces of identification with at least one showing their current address.
