Older Adult Mental Health and Addictions services for Vancouver residents can now be accessed through the expanded Vancouver Older Adult Mental Health and Addictions Intake Team located at 200-4088 Cambie Street in Vancouver.
Older Adult Mental Health and Older Adult Addictions now share the same Central Intake Line number — 604-709-6785.
You can use this Central Intake line when referring older adults into all community-based mental health and addictions services or to the Geriatric Psychiatric Outreach Team (GPOT) at VGH.
By centralizing Older Adult service access under one Central Intake Line, we hope to simplify service and program access for our referring partners as well as for clients, their family and loved ones, and emergency service providers.
“Full integration of older adult mental health and addiction access means we can now ensure that program mandates are interpreted consistently and that we minimize the amount of calls and “detective work” that physicians, clients and referral agents need to do to access our services,” said Chris Foley, Program and Operations Manager, Older Adult MH&A Services.
