Do you endeavour to be a perfectly clean commuter? Want to reduce or abolish the use of motorize transport but are unsure of your fitness ability?
The VGH Fitness & Wellness Centre wants to help you achieve your goal, and take part in the Clean Commuter Challenge May 27 to June 14. Here’s how:
Purpose: Develop fitness to become a clean commuter of the future
Goal: Complete the Terry Fox Run in September.
Method: 16-week run/walk program with guidance through core conditioning and stretching
Where: Diamond Health Centre, green space on the north side of the building.
When: Beginning May 28th, Tuesdays/Thursdays during lunch – 12:10-12:50
Who: Staff in need of a run/walk program, those new to fitness or just want to be involved.
Why: Save the environment, improve your health and wellness … The most basic means of clean commuting is to get from point A to B on one’s own two legs. Can you? How far can you move yourself? How will you get around if all fuel is lost and the roads are closed?
Cost: Free!
