2013 Night of a Thousand Stars Gala raises record-breaking $2,000,000 for our hospitals

VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation thanks everyone who made our 2013 Night of a Thousand Stars Gala, presented by TELUS, a shining success on November 15th. The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver played host to a celebration of stars – from our health care teams, donors and sponsors, through to our committee members, guests and volunteers – who helped create a brilliant night to remember.

The event raised over $2,000,000 to fund urgently needed medical equipment, advancements in patient care and research, and for the new mental health centre at VGH – the Joseph & Rosalie Segal Family Health Centre – which will provide hope and healing to thousands of British Columbians impacted by mental illness. Since 1980, through the vision and generosity of our donors – and events like this – we’ve raised over $500,000,000 to advance patient care at Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Hospital, GF Strong Rehab Centre, Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute and Vancouver Community Health Services.
