Mood Disorders Clinic moving in May
The Mood Disorders Clinic is moving to the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health (CBH) in May. While the clinic is in transition May 8 through May 19, clinicians and staff will remain available to patients to ensure continuity of care.
The Alzheimer’s Clinical Trials team is moving to the CBH in May, too. There, the team will reunite with the Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Clinic, which moved to the new facility in December of 2013.
Both the Mood Disorders Clinic and the Alzheimer’s Clinical Trials team will relocate to the second floor of the CBH. The centre is located next door to the Koerner Pavilion on the UBC Hospital campus.
The Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health is Canada’s largest integrated brain centre, uniting research and patient care to change the way brain disorders are treated and studied. The centre’s philosophy is to bring all the multidisciplinary areas of brain health under one roof to enhance patient care and provide British Columbians better access to the best possible treatments.
To date, the following VCH clinics now reside in the CBH:
- Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Clinic
- Medical Daycare
- Movement Disorders Clinic
- Multiple Sclerosis Clinic
