VGH Cycling Centre survey
The new and beautiful Cycling Centre at VGH is open and accepting members. Located in the old laundry room at 860/866 West 10th Ave. between Willow and Laurel Streets, the VGH Cycling Centre is open 24 hours a day, all year round. With 174 bike racks (including 12 outlets for electric bikes), it is one of the region’s largest facilities for bicycle commuting. Onsite you will find eight bike lockers (quickly booked up), change rooms, storage lockers, air pumps and bike stands with tools.

While I do not dispute the likely benefits – for a limited few – of the new cycling centre I’m wondering at the cost for this initiative and whether or not the money could have been better spent, for example in retaining front line staff who have a direct impact on many many Clients.

hi Iona
Before there was the (wonderful) VGH Cycling Centre, there was only the aspirations to make it so!
So, there is always “a chance” that more facilities will improve the comfort, safety and convenience of reduced car-use commuting options.
Do you have any place in mind to suggest?
