VGH and Sodexo are excited to introduce fresh, nutritious and affordable meal choices featuring mouth-watering foods prepared from scratch by our chefs using local ingredients. Choose from signature entrees concocted by Sodexo’s own executive chef, or custom-made sandwiches that are rich in all the essential nutrients, including lean proteins, carbs, vitamins, minerals and fibers. Designed to bring our guests meals and snacks that help them live a healthy and active lifestyle, the new menu is compliant with Vancouver Coastal Health’s Healthy Eating Guidelines for Retail Food Services. What are the VCH Healthy Eating Guidelines?
VCH is committed to supporting the health and well-being of its staff, physicians, patients and visitors. Food is an intimate and integral part of people’s well-being and the way VCH and our partners provide food to retail food service customers can effectively promote health and wellness. Through the implementation of Healthy Eating Guidelines for Retail Food Services, healthy food choices will be made available and promoted so that they are the easy choice. VCH and Sodexo are in close collaboration to bring retail food services that will become a model for best practice in the marketplace.
