Once again we are asking VCH employees, physicians, residents, and students, as well as the staff of our contractors, to express their support for volunteers and to help those patients who are most in need by buying Canucks tickets from Volunteer Resources – Vancouver Acute and Residential Care. This is a great cause, and if early indicators are anything to judge by, the Canucks should be a great team this year.

Two wins-zero losses

After a very impressive pre-season, the Canucks have two wins and zero losses. Is it the new coach? Is it the new guys on the roster? Did the house-cleaning in the off-season work? Is it too soon to say? Is it all just a flash in the pan? One way to tell is for Vancouver to play a team with a similar record. Tampa Bay has a similar record – two wins early in the season. Guess who Vancouver is playing this Saturday? Yup. Tampa Bay. Should be interesting.

October 18 game

We have tickets in the Upper Bowl II to the October 18 game v Tampa Bay, and to 15 other home games this season. Each is priced 10% LOWER than face value – and unlike Ticketmaster, we do not charge an additional handling fee.

How to order

To order tickets from Volunteer Resources, complete a VCH 2014-15 Canucks Tickets Order Form, scan it, and email it with the word ‘Canucks’ in the subject line to greg.terpenning@vch.ca. To get a copy of the form, email greg.terpenning@vch.ca or call (604) 875-4111 (local 69466). We will respond ASAP to let you know if we have the tickets you’ve requested. Quantities are limited, so get your orders in early. Your chances of getting tickets are much higher if you indicate on the order form what your first, second and third choices for games are. Only emailed orders that include your credit card number and your signature will be accepted. Please do not fax the form to us or provide a hard copy. For the first time this year, we are accepting payment by credit card only – no cash or cheques.
