Rada the miracle worker

According to one mother, miracles do happen – thanks to Rada Kosic, a community mental health nurse  based at the Raven Song Community Health Centre:

“I would like to thank Rada at the Raven Song mental health center for helping my mentally disabled son find permanent and safe housing.

I have spent the last 14 years advocating for my son … working with a variety of mental health workers.  For those years I received little or no help in my son’s care. Two years ago, [he] was lucky to be assigned to Rada. She immediately began a tireless effort to get my son the supported housing he needed. In spite of the lack of tools available to her and the overload of work, Rada was able to do the research, connect with the right people, keep me informed of everything and, finally, find the housing he so desperately needed. She is truly a miracle worker and [my son] and I owe a great deal to her.

Today he moved into in the Hampton Hotel. It was the last time he had to sleep in the vermin and crime infested SRO that he was forced to live in. Now he has all the support he has needed for all of these years……..thanks to Rada.

Thank you with all my heart!”
