If you live in Vancouver, chances are you’ve noticed medical marijuana dispensaries popping up in neighbourhoods. Has this made marijuana seem more acceptable, and possibly, less harmful than we once thought? Is marijuana legal? If weed is medical and natural does this means it’s ‘healthy’? If we’re confused as health care providers, imagine how muddled things must seem for the public. And especially for teens, and parents of teens.

Help your clients talk to their teens about pot

VCH is helping host a free forum for parents and caregivers to learn how to talk to their teen about pot. If your clients or patients have teens, please invite them to this free event. Do you work with teens or have teens of your own? We’d love for you to come too!

We’ll hear from key voices involved in youth substance use research and medical cannabis dispensaries. And you’ll have a chance to learn more about how to have meaningful conversations with your teen about drug use and marijuana.
