GF Strong bike cage is getting a facelift

We are pleased to announce that the GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre bike cage is undergoing major security and space upgrades.

What’s happening with the bike cage?

From August 22–30, 2015, we are pleased to announce that the bike cage will undergo major security and space upgrades to provide higher security and accommodate more bikes. The cage will be inaccessible during construction.

How does this affect you?

  • Friday, August 21st – Cyclists are requested to remove their bicycles and locks from the cage no later than this date. Since we do not have a storage space for abandoned bikes and locks, bikes not removed from the cage by this date may be disposed of.
  • Saturday, August 22nd – The existing bike racks inside the cage will be removed and temporarily transferred to the two nearest wheelchair stalls under the awning just across from the front entrance and security office.
  • Please secure your bikes to these or other bike racks on site during construction. Note that these temporary racks will not be bolted down, so be sure your bike is carefully locked and secured so it can’t be slid off of these unbolted racks, or find another secure location on site to lock up.
  • Monday, August 31st – New GFS bike cage and racks ready for use!
