All Star Charity Gala raises $1.6M for VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation

On July 19, 2015, Fairchild Group’s All Star Charity Gala raised $1.6 million for VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation. Twelve of Hong Kong’s top artists and entertainers traveled to Vancouver to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of Fairchild Television, as well as the 15th anniversary of Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG).

“Vancouver has been very good to Fairchild over the years,” says Thomas Fung, chairman and CEO of Fairchild Group. “We are proud to produce this event, and equally proud give back and support VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation and all they do to provide outstanding medical care to adult British Columbians.”

The all-star line up included some familiar faces in Vancouver: Miss Chinese Vancouver and Miss Chinese International Gloria Tang, Canadian born Hong Kong actor and singer, Fred Cheng, and the very talented and long-time Fairchild performer and first runner up of Miss Hong Kong, Jacqueline Wong. Joining them onstage were Hong Kong singers Raymond Lam, Hins Cheung, Vincy Chan, Gillian Chung, Sherman Chung, Ken Hung, and Alex Hung and television actors, Kate Tsui and Hubert Wu.

“We are very grateful to Fairchild, EEG and TVB for their vision for this event,” says Barbara Grantham, president and CEO of VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation. “The support of the All Star Charity Gala is helping to ensuring our health care professionals have what they need to provide specialized care to adults in British Columbians. It helps us provide the people, programs, places and tools to ensure our health care teams can provide the best care possible.”

The All Star Charity Gala would not have been possible without the tremendous talent and support from the organizing committee. The committee is comprised of: David Lee, Tung Chan, Jessica Choy, Heather Pei Huang, Ludia Li, Joyce Ng, and Anna Wang.
