Vancouver All-Staff Forum on December 2
On Wednesday, December 2 (2:30 to 4 pm), we’re hosting VCH-Vancouver’s next All-Staff Forum. Developed in consultation with Vancouver staff, this third instalment of our “Home is Best” series will focus on the challenge of providing best care to Vancouver’s homeless population.
Much of this forum will be devoted to group discussion. To benefit from the full experience, we encourage you to register here and join your colleagues at the VGH Paetzold Auditorium or one of the three facilitated satellite sites.
What does Home is Best look like for people who are homeless?
To allow for in-depth discussion on this important topic, we’ve extended the forum to 1 ½ hours (2:30 to 4 pm).
In breakout groups we’ll discuss the questions, concerns and feelings we grapple with when working on cases where our shared client/patient is homeless or marginally housed. Through discussion we’ll explore our personal experiences, the challenges we face, and solutions to support one another to resolve barriers to discharge and provide integrated care in the community.
