“Fog of hospitalization is hard to describe”
Following surgery at UBC Hospital, one patient writes to say thank you after the “fog of hospitalization” has lifted.
To the UBC Hospital team:
I was admitted … for total hip replacement under Dr. Clive Duncan. I was a bit anxious (maybe more than a bit).
From the moment I arrived until discharge, I was treated with such high quality care and kindness. From Chen in pre-op to Heather in PAR, to the team on the first floor — thank you.
Thank you to Hong, Alice, Tanya, Annie, Milan, Jenna, Annabelle for being so kind and capable. I’d especially like to thank Mandy who cared for me during my sickest post-op period. You are an expert.
If I have missed names, which I’m sure I have, thank you. The fog of hospitalization is hard to describe.
I’m home now, mobilizing well and best of all pain-free. No analgesics required. Thank you all.
