Landscaping and sidewalk upgrades between the Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre (GLDHCC) and the Jack Bell Research Centre (JBRC) will temporarily change pedestrian access surrounding these buildings on Laurel Street from August 30 to October 11, 2016.

Sidewalks on the west side of Laurel Street between West 10th and 12th Avenues, and the courtyard walkway between the GLDHCC and JBRC, will be affected during this time.

Street traffic on the same stretch of Laurel Street will be intermittently disrupted through the duration of the project as well.

GLDHCC parkade inaccessible September 17

Paving of the GLDHCC parkade ramp will require a temporary, one-day closure of the parkade. Vehicles will be unable to enter or exit the parkade on Saturday, September 17. Please use the VGH parkade located on the south-east corner of West 12th Ave. and Laurel Street as an alternative.

For your safety

For your safety, give yourself more time to reach your destination, and use the alternate sidewalks indicated by detour signs at all times. If possible, avoid driving in this area while work is underway.
