If you know a retiree or part-time employee seeking a volunteer opportunity, then look no further than our very own VGH Thrift Store in Vancouver’s thriving East Village (Hastings-Sunrise).

The VGH Thrift Store is seeking community-minded volunteers available to make a difference midweek. This is an opportunity to work with volunteers from all walks of life, including retired seniors, a police officer, a lawyer, university and high school students, and volunteers supported by Mental Health Services and the Autism Society. The team’s dedicated, fun-spirited and throws a mean potluck.

No retail experience is necessary and all volunteer inquiries are welcome, but please note that the store’s especially in need of people who can work Wednesdays and Thursday and Friday mornings. Volunteer roles include:

• cashier
• customer service representative
• donation/clothing sorter
• merchandise organizer
