We’re “proud and honoured” to work with Kate
We would like to congratulate Kate Bondartchouk, VGH respiratory therapist, on receiving the 2016 Carestream Respiratory Excellence Award. The Carestream Respiratory Excellence Award is a province-wide award for a frontline RRT who has provided exemplary service to their patients and profession as recognized by their peers.
Kate bridges acute care with community care seamlessly as an amazing advocate for our permanently ventilated patients. She has accompanied ventilated patients to a multitude of events such as concerts, sporting events, family events and Olympic torch relays.
Kate has taught many education sessions to ventilator-trained nurses and care aides and is a valuable resource while teaching new RT hires how to manage long-term ventilation and the respiratory care of ventilator-dependent patients.
Kate goes above and beyond to make the lives of others more satisfying and enjoyable. We are both proud and honoured to work with her.
National Respiratory Therapy Week is October 23-28, 2016. Stay tuned for more Respiratory Therapy information and events.
