Congratulations to our September ‘Won’ Vancouver 50/50 Staff Lottery winners!
Three-pay month gave three lucky winners a happy start to autumn!
Crunchy fall leaves are lining the city streets, and crisp dollar bills are lining the pockets of our three lucky 50/50 ‘Won’ Vancouver Staff Lottery winners! Our September winners are Chris Sims, Patient Care Supervisor, Access Services at Vancouver General Hospital, Virgilio Autencio, Patient Care Aide, Critical Care at VGH, and Tessie Ventura, Patient Care Aide, ACE unit at VGH.
Thanks to Chris, Virgilio, Tessie and all of the VCH employees who have bought 50/50 lottery tickets, together, we have contributed $150,000 to the VGH Foundation! A list of past winners is available on the Won Vancouver intranet page.

What does winning the 50/50 lottery mean to you?
I have always enjoyed contributing to the 50/50 lottery, and knowing that the remaining monies will be put to good use around patient care and services. I was thrilled to hear that I was a winner in the lottery!
What are you going to spend your winnings on?
I have been planning a trip to Europe in 2017, and am delighted to put some of my winnings to this trip.

Winning this money is an early Christmas gift for my family – thank you!
What are you going to spend your winnings on?
As a special Christmas gift to my 11-year-old son who has special needs, our family will go to Disneyland this December. The rest of the money will be put aside for his future medical needs.

What does winning the 50/50 lottery mean to you?
I was surprised when I heard the news about winning the 50/50 Staff Lottery; it came at a much needed time, and I’m so thankful for this abundant blessing. I’d like to thank the lottery’s organizers for their dedication and love – they are truly helping so many people’s lives. I feel so fortunate to be a part of this project and I find it a great satisfaction to help others.
I encourage all staff to participate in this lottery – you never know, you could be the next winner! Blessings can come at any time and in unity there is strength!
The next 50/50 Staff Lottery is October 28!
What would you do with your winnings? There are two (or three) chances to win every month (depending on the corresponding pay periods) and you only need to sign up once to participate. The more tickets sold means the larger the winnings for staff and more funding for the Foundation. To date, $150,000 has been donated thanks to our staff.
