Our final winners for the year are happily heading into the holiday season!

In the much-anticipated final draw of the First Annual Won Vancouver 50/50 Staff Lottery, our final two winners have been revealed! Our October winners are Teresa Crozier, Radiology Transcription, and Lugene Chua from MDRD. Each of our winners won over $6,300!

A very big thank you to all VCH staff who bought 50/50 lottery tickets this past year. Over the 2015/16 lottery season, a total of 26 lucky staff won some extra cash, and together, we contributed $163,384 to the VGH Foundation! The Foundation purchased four ventilators for use at VGH and George Pearson Centre.

A list of all the winners from 2015-16 is available on the Won Vancouver intranet page. Want to see your name on this list next year? Make sure you sign up for the 2016-17 lottery – all staff (even if you had tickets this year) have to register for the new lottery year to be included in the draws. Register by NOVEMBER 3 to be included in the first draw on November 25!

Winning this month’s “Won” Vancouver 50/50 staff lottery means that I could get a new set of tires for my car, pay bills and treat myself to a trip in a place where the weather is nice and warm. The next 50/50 Staff Lottery is November 25!

What would you do with your winnings? There are two (or three) chances to win every month (depending on the corresponding pay periods) and you only need to sign up once to participate. The more tickets sold means the larger the winnings for staff and more funding for the Foundation.
