VGH campus

Construction of the Joseph and Rosalie Segal Family Health Centre on the VGH campus will temporarily impact access to the Blusson and Centennial Pavilions.

Blusson Pavilion access

To facilitate sidewalk installation, pedestrian access to the south east door of Blusson Pavilion will be re-routed December 1 to 16. Pedestrian access will be maintained from the Willow Lane of the inner courtyard.

Centennial Pavilion access

Paving outside the north ground floor door of Centennial Pavilion will limit use of this entry/exit to emergency use on December 2 and 3. The JRSFHC project team has worked in collaboration with the site fire safety coordinator on this temporary measure. A full-time security guard will be present inside Centennial Pavilion to direct pedestrians to alternate exits.

UBCH campus

On Saturday, December 3, a crane operating between the Koerner and Purdy Pavilions on the UBCH campus will impact pedestrian access from 7 am to 1 pm.

While the crane is lifting components of a new steam plant onto the roof of Koerner Pavilion, pedestrian access to the main entrances of the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health and the Koerner, Purdy and Detwiller Pavilions from Wesbrook Mall will be maintained.

However, pedestrians approaching from the Health Sciences Mall will be redirected to enter Koerner through the south west door, or to enter Purdy through the north west door.

Signage and traffic personnel will be available to assist with wayfinding.
