Dr Patty Daly is our keynote speaker
Dr. Patricia Daly is the Chief Medical Health Officer and the Vice President, Public Health for Vancouver Coastal Health. She is also a Clinical Professor in the School of Population and Public Health in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia.
As Chief Medical Health Officer, her primary mandate is to improve the health of the more than one million people served by Vancouver Coastal Health through population health approaches and public health initiatives. Her mandate includes public health surveillance, prevention programs, harm reduction, environmental health, health promotion, and advocacy.

Poster session, activities hosted by VCHRI* to inform new researchers of the various funding and educational resources available to support their research, and other exciting activities (see workshop details below) over the course of the day. You will also have opportunities to learn about research at Vancouver Community, connect with researchers and learn about VCHRI resources for starting your own research project.
Workshop for VCH—Vancouver Community Staff: Opening the research door – a glimpse into practice-based research at VCH
Description: Do you have a question from your clinical or community practice? Do you want to learn more about the research process? VCHRI will present the VCH Research Challenge process, resources available, and successful examples from previous competitions. Come prepared with a question (or 2 or 3) from your clinical or community practice and take the first steps to refine it into a research question. Registration for the workshop is limited to 20 participants, so register early.
