How’s your quality of worklife?
Do you feel respected at work? Do you know what’s expected of you? Is there someone at work who encourages your development? These are some of the questions on the 2013 People First Survey. Have your say before the survey ends on June 28.
The People First Survey (also referred to as the ‘Gallup poll’) is your chance, as an employee or physician, to give direct feedback on your quality of worklife. It’s a way to bring our People First philosophy to life and to measure how we’re doing at putting you first and making VCH a great place to work.
“The survey results are used to guide discussions in your local area and throughout VCH on how to strengthen safety and engagement and improve the quality of your workplace,” said Mary Ackenhusen, chief financial officer (interim).

lets try and ensure that each dept receives the results and shares planning with the team, We are being asked to respond a second time and we have never seen the first results. Help us be engaged.

Thanks Sherry for your feedback on the process. All managers were asked to share the results of the 2011 survey and do some action planning with their staff. We have confirmation that this occurred across most of the health authority and I am sorry it was missed in your case. If you’d like to contact me directly and let me know what area you are part of, I’d be happy to follow up through the leadership channels to see why this sharing of results and planning activity has not yet happened in your area. Regards, Lori
