Richmond’s renovated Emergency Operations Centre provides more and better working spaces.

The Richmond Community of Care Emergency Operations Centre has recently undergone a renovation.  This redesign means that Richmond Community of Care staff now have a space that has the technology and working area required to effectively coordinate our Community of Care wide response activities and support our day to day need to share information and brainstorm new ideas.

The improvements have resulted in a more functional space that includes larger white boards for writing and group brainstorming, additional dedicated space to post documents, and better audio-visual equipment.

Planning and preparation took several weeks, however the work itself was completed within a week. Thanks to Tom So and his team preparing the space for the renos to take place and kudos also goes to our contractors, and to those of you who gave up precious meeting space during the work.

The renovations bring the Richmond Community of Care EOC up to the same standard as other hospitals across Vancouver Coastal Health.
