SN Transport and CUPE have agreed to resume collective bargaining with the assistance of a mediator.

While they are engaged in mediation, the parties have agreed that:

• All strike activity will be discontinued;
• SNT will provide its normal level of service; and
• The adjudication at the Labour Relations Board (LRB) on essential service levels will be postponed until the week of June 15, 2015 at the earliest.

In the event that mediation is not successful and CUPE resumes job action, the LRB’s interim essential services order remains in place pending any further adjudication.
