Are you ready4real?
In the lead up to the provincial ShakeOut drill next Thursday, here in Richmond we are using this opportunity to build our emergency management capacity to ensure we are prepared to respond to a real emergency and to prepare us for the upcoming accreditation visit.
Beginning today, you will receive through email a series of simple exercises and the ready4real passport that will ask you to take less than 10 minutes each day over the campaign to ready yourselves for an earthquake / emergency event. Campaign activities / themes include:
- Developing a family emergency kit and plan
- Locating and reviewing the site emergency response plans
- Confirming contact information in your area’s Call Back Lists
- Participating in the ShakeOut BC Drill and following exercise
As professionals who work in healthcare, we each play a critical role in earthquake response and other emergencies so it is especially important that we are ready4real, both at work and at home.
