How long have you worked at VCH?
Collectively on and off for almost seven years.


Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
I teach burn care to the nurses on our unit as well as other health care professionals throughout the province of BC.

This year, I am also one of five colleagues on our unit who are participating in the peer nurse immunizer program. Together we will be fighters’ against the flu! www.vch.ca/staff-flu.


What’s your favourite thing about your work?
Sharing knowledge and seeing how it translates into great patient care. I also love to pick at wounds.


How does your work contribute to the VCH True North goals?
The work I do helps provide the best care, develops the best work force, and improves the care provided in other communities around the Province.


One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I find clowns terrifying!


Who is somebody that you consider a major role model in your life?
My family. Each member of my family has accomplishments and traits that are inspiring and provide lifelong learning opportunities.


What makes you happy?
I like to express creativity and artistic flair in every aspect of my life. It keeps me happy.


Most healthy habit:
I love to tap dance.


If an actor or actress were to play you in a movie, who would it be?
Kathy Bates? Only because you’ll be hobbled if you don’t get your flu shot!
