How long have you worked at VCH?
6 years

Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
I’m an RN on LB8A and also one of the Releasing Time To Care ward leads on our unit.

What’s your favourite thing about your work?
So many sweet, tender, and funny moments to choose from! Recently, probably the night shift where I gave a shave, hot towels and all, at 2 a.m. in the morning, to a patient who is deaf, blind and mute. That simple act got me several thumbs-up, hugs, and a kiss on the cheek.

Which True North goal does your work contribute to the most?
Provide the best care

One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I was recently a house guest of Lord Spencer at Althorp Estate in England.

Three things you always have in your fridge:
Ricotta cheese, strawberries and chocolate chips -> my go-to snack.

Who or what inspires you?
The amazing team members on LB8A who always strive to provide safe, thorough and creative care… and who support each other so well through those tense and stressful shifts.

Most healthy habit:
Depends on the month, but currently swing/lindyhop dancing once a week.

Favourite vacation spot:
Anywhere with good off-the-beaten-track backpacking and an empty beach, field or cave to pitch a tent. Greece, Turkey, Namibia and the Philippines are standouts.
