Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
Pegah: Our team provides variety of data and data analysis services to enhance and support decision making in VCH to improve healthcare delivery.
Negah: Currently I am working at UBC hospital residential care unit, providing occupational therapy services to residents to ameliorate their quality of lives.
What’s your favourite thing about your work?
Pegah : The first day that I started working at Decision Support. I felt extremely fortunate to be able to be part of such talented team and to be able to learn from them.
Negah: Because of the nature of my position, I have worked in many units at VGH and UBC hospital, and in all sites, I have felt extremely supported and appreciated.
Which True North goal does your work contribute to the most?
Pegah: Promote better health for our communities
Negah: Provide the best care
One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
Pegah and Negah: We are so in sync in all aspects of our lives. Before getting into different graduate schools for our Masters, we had always been together in school. We were always in the same class and always sitting beside each other. Even during our undergraduate degree we majored in the same area, worked in the same lab, and got similar grades and now we both work at VCH.
Three things you always have in your fridge:
Chocolate, banana, eggs.
Who or what inspires you?
Our parents, family, friends, and co-workers continuously inspire us to view life as the greatest adventure.
Most healthy habit:
Meal prepping on Sundays. On Sundays you can always find us in the kitchen chopping so many different vegetables making soups and salads for during the week.
Favourite vacation spot:
We’d love to explore Greece.
