Tell us what you do at VCH in one or two sentences:
I support and provide education for the immunization and communicable disease programs in conjunction with our public health nursing teams and our regional team. I coordinate the influenza program for the North Shore ensuring that vaccines are available across the community so that our residents are able to access protection during the flu season.

What’s your favourite thing about your work?
Believe it or not, it was during the H1N1 flu response in 2009. Our teams mobilized so efficiently to respond to a public health emergency and it was really inspirational to see everyone come together in the shared goal of providing care to our community.

Which True North goal does your work contribute to the most?
Promote better health for our communities

One thing we might be surprised to learn about you:
I’m very shy and filling out this profile is out of my comfort zone.

Three things you always have in your fridge:
Milk – I have teenage boys and it would honestly be more efficient to own a cow.

Who or what inspires you?
My family.
My dedicated and passionate co-workers who work so hard all year round but especially during flu season when we immunize thousands of North Shore residents.

Most healthy habit:
I play on a women’s soccer team and love to get outside to hike the NS trails.

Favourite vacation spot:
I always pick a different place to go to see more of the world, but I did spend 3 months in Australia years ago and would love to go back to see more of that beautiful country.
