The Lower Mainland Health Emergency Management team is planning Exercise Mocktober, a Code Orange mass casualty full scale exercise, at Abbotsford Regional Hospital (ARH) on Tuesday, October 23rd. This mock scenario will bring ‘patients’ with varying levels of mock-injuries to ARH to be treated in a staged on-site ER.
Other emergency responders will also participate including BC Ambulance Service. The goal of the exercise is to test and enhance the way we interact, communicate and support patients during major emergencies so we’re fully prepared when real-life disasters happen.
