Employee transit pass fares increase

TransLink has announced that transit fares across the Lower Mainland will be increased on January 1, 2013. This means that employees who subscribe to the Employer Transit Pass Program (EPP) will see increased deductions from their paycheques beginning on their December 14 pay, since pass payments are collected a month in advance.

EPP subscribers receive a discount of around 15% versus the cost of purchasing a standard monthly pass from a local merchant. On top of this discount, VCH provides an additional subsidy of $11 – $13 per month (dependent on the number of zones).

The following bimonthly payroll deductions will apply to all EPP pass holders beginning in December:

$39.63 – 1 zone
$53.38 – 2 zone
$73.13 – 3 zone
$92.50 – WCE – PMDY, COQT, POCO
$112.50 – WCE – PITT, MM, PHNY
$155.00 – WCE – MISSION
