Fraser Health, Providence Health Care and Vancouver Coastal Health are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Nitin Khare as their new Director of Internal Audit Services (IAS) starting March 4, 2013. Nitin is replacing Fred Chan who retired in December 2012 after 32 years of service in various financial roles within the health system.
Nitin comes to us with a broad range of experience in Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management from the public and private sectors covering areas such as financial, operations & performance reviews, Board of Director reviews, environmental, health & safety reviews, as well as construction and IT reviews. Most recently Nitin has been the Director of Internal Audit for Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA)/ Health Shared Services BC (HSSBC) where he has been involved with a number of Lower Mainland Consolidation initiatives. Nitin embraces collaboration and recognizes the importance of implementing continuous improvement processes while recognizing the need to be current and effective.
Not only is Nitin excited about taking on these new responsibilities but he and his wife very recently welcomed a second baby daughter into their family.
