Patient wants to pass on “heartfelt gratitude” for care

Hello,

I want to take a few moments to pass on my heartfelt gratitude after I my hip surgery at your hospital. I was admitted on Wednesday the 27th at about 8 AM and had my surgery, by Dr. Bas Masri, at 10:45. From the very first contact until I was discharged on Friday everything and everyone I came in contact with was a perfect model of how heath care and modern medicine is supposed to operate.Thank you!!

I would like to mention a few of your staff who made my visit as pleasant as possible…I am sure I will miss a couple as a lot of what happened was in a bit of a drug-induced haze from my point of view. Please pass on my thanks to Bojana, in post op. all the staff in the orthopedic section… Mary, Julane, Marion, Jemima, Maxine, Ivo, Matt, Karen and Kim, who helped me get to my ride home, even though she was on her break at the time. Your staff is to be commended for all their efforts in making my stay at UBC as good as it could possibly have been.

Patient thanks UBC staff for “excellent and professional help”

Hello, I had right hip replacement surgery on Dec 14, 2012 by Dr. Nelson Greidanus. I would like to thank ALL of the nurses {Fatima, Rosemary, and Kristina} for their excellent and professional help. I was never in need of anything and they made my stay as pleasant as it could be. I would also like to thank the doctors covering for Dr. G and the doctor that wrote my prescription for discharge. At 24 days, post-op, I was only using a cane and as of today, February 1, I am able to walk with only a slight waddle and can walk up to 6 blocks a day. Thank you for the excellent care I received and I tell anyone needing surgery that UBC is the best place to be.
