Does your opinion count at work?

Being engaged at work means having meaningful input into how things are done. People are more satisfied when they feel they are an important part of the planning and decision making process. As an employer, VCH wants to know how well that’s working for you. Your chance to let us know, is coming next week with the start of the People First Survey.

Survey starts next week

On Wednesday June 5, you will receive an invitation to participate in the VCH 2013 People First Survey. This survey, administered by Gallup, is very similar to the one that was conducted in 2011.It's Worth It Ppl First Survey graphic

Why a survey?
The purpose of the survey is to assess key aspects of your work environment in relation to engagement, safety and quality. The results of the survey will assist local areas to work as a team to plan activities that will improve the work environment at VCH.

It’s confidential
Please be assured that your responses to the survey are strictly confidential, and that individual responses collected by Gallup are not shared with VCH. Gallup will only provide reports for teams where five or more staff have responded. All information collected is managed in accordance with both Canadian and American privacy regulations.

It’s worth it
The survey is an important step to enhance our work environment, and your participation will help us work toward achieving our People First True North goals. Please participate by completing the survey before the deadline of Friday June 28.

Results of the 2011 survey
The results of our 2011 survey indicated an engagement grand mean score of 3.56 and a mean safety score of 3.67 out of a possible 5.0, and 56% of our regular staff took part by responding to the survey.
