You’re invited to a sneak peek of the new emergency department at Surrey Memorial Hospital: Friday, July 12th
Our friends at Fraser Health invites all VCH employees, physicians, and volunteers to a July 12 sneak preview of Surrey Memorial Hospital’s new state-of-the-art Emergency Department which opens to patients Oct 1.
Take 1 hour and join us to:
- Walk through Canada’s second largest Emergency Department
- Learn how we’re reducing triage wait times
- Hear about advances in patient-centred care and safety
- Peek inside our new single-patient treatment rooms (there’s over 100)
- Check out our new separate Pediatric Emergency Department for kids
- Find out about new infection control and green building design features
- Visit our new safe, therapeutic zone for mental health and substance use patients
- See new medical technologies, and much, much more
Friday July 12, 2-7 pm
For Health Authority staff, physicians, volunteers ONLY
Health Authority ID is required for entry
Hospital parking is limited, so take the Skytrain, then ride the FREE Surrey Health Shuttle to the hospital. The shuttle leaves:
- King George Skytrain station on the hour and half hour at the SkyTrain Access Road (East SkyTrain exit) in the 15 minute stopping zone
- Surrey Central City Skytrain station every 20 and 50 minutes after the hour, at the South side of 102 Ave., East of University Blvd.
- Surrey Memorial Hospital every 10 and 40 minutes after the hour. Last pick up at 7:40 pm with drop off at Surrey Central City at 7:50 and King George SkyTrain station at 8:00 pm.
Catch the shuttle before 6 pm to give yourself enough time to enjoy the Sneak Preview.

Limited FREE parking is available at the hospital for the July 13 PUBLIC EVENT ONLY. Or, take Skytrain to Surrey City Central and take the #321 or #326 to the hospital.

Surrey Memorial Hospital is located at 13750 96 Avenue, Surrey. The entrance to the Sneak Preview is off 94A Avenue.
