Congratulations to the 2013-2014 graduating class of VCH Dietetic Interns!

Seven dietetic interns completed their internship placement with VCH based out of Vancouver General Hospital on June 20, 2014. The Dietetic Internship is overseen by the UBC Dietetics Program and is run in partnership with the health authorities across BC. It is fully accredited by the Dietitians of Canada as a comprehensive dietetic internship program.

The 7 dietetic interns completed the 39-week program in clinical nutrition, food service administration, community nutrition and practice based research. Clinical dietitians from VGH, Richmond Hospital, Lions Gate Hospital, GF Strong Rehab Centre, UBC Hospital and BC Children’s and Women’s Health Centre provide learning opportunities and clinical instruction for the dietetic interns. Community dietitians from Vancouver Community are also actively involved in the program as are the Sodexo Food Service Managers.

The next class of 8 dietetic interns begins the program on Sept 8, 2014 and will complete the program in June 2015.
