Speech recognition service now available for transcribed reports
Are you interested in having the ability to convert your speech into text for your transcribed reports? Clinicians can now review, edit and sign their transcribed reports at their computer all in one sitting, resulting in instant distribution of the patient’s report.
Lower Mainland Health Information Management – Transcription Services is excited to offer front end speech recognition (FESR) functionality to clinicians across the four lower mainland health organizations on their transcribed reports.
Front end speech recognition is well suited for those clinicians who have a clinical/workflow requirement to have reports transcribed on a STAT basis, and/or those clinicians who wish to have full control over the creation, quality and distribution of their reports. One of the key benefits of using FESR is a high level of personal customization decreasing the total amount of dictation needed.
A value-add is the ability to use FESR in other applications on the same PC. This functionality would allow the clinician to simply place the cursor in any document, email, or clinical information system and speak.
