Pink Shirt Day is Feb 24: 2,700 t-shirts sold!

Employee Relations staff aka ‘pink ladies’ kicked off our pink table sales at VGH, Richmond Hospital and Lions Gate Hospital this week for VCH’s ‘Team Respect’ campaign to eliminate bullying in the workplace.

Many staff stopped by the pink tables to get their 2016 ‘Respect Starts Here’ button and VCH pink shirt, helping us sell 2,700 t-shirts in just over two weeks!

“The responsiveness we have had from managers and staff on this initiative has been incredible,” said Esther Eidse, Manager of the Respectful Workplace Program. “The 2016 Pink Shirt campaign truly embodied our theme of Team Respect – with teams taking time to reflect on what respect means within their team environment and participating in team focused campaign activities.”

Limited t-shirts available

Employee Relations staff are working hard to fill any remaining pink shirt team orders. If you have received an email that your order is ready, please pick up your shirts as per the instructions in the email confirmation. Silence hides bullying

Remember, disrespectful behaviour will not stop on its own. You need to either have the conversation with the other person or report your concern to your manager or VCH’s No-Bully line: 1-844-NO BULLY (662 8559). If you are unsure whether the behaviour you are experiencing is bullying, read the VCH definition of bullying in our Respectful Workplace brochure . Together, we can eliminate bullying at VCH.
