The Bright Spot team celebrating two decades of success.

Bright Spot celebrates 20 years!

Bright Spot, which is part of the Older Adult Rehabilitation Program, serves individuals who have a mental health diagnosis, concurrent addiction, as well as physical and/or cognitive issues related to aging. We believe that older adults are able to lead a full and meaningful life by developing the skills and supports necessary to live as independently as possible.

Bright Spot is a therapeutic day program that enables isolated seniors to socialize, develop leisure interests and learn wellness strategies for health and age related issues. Bright Spot is uniquely designed to support Recovery in the following ways;
• Peer support and specialized mental health staff offer smaller groups in a friendly home-like environment.
• Activities are based on client interest and aim to promote engagement and connection.
• It is designed as a stepping stone to other programs.

Clients have access to:
i. Occupational therapy assessment and treatment of function at home
ii. Support to connect with community resources
iii. Educational and skill building groups

Clients have said:
 It has helped directly with recovery, through participation, awareness, information
 The Bright Spot helps to be supported and provide support to others
 It felt like a safe place to be
 The Bright Spot gives you a reason to be
