Dr Chad A. Kim Sing talks to a patient and family member in the VGH ED.

ER: Life + Death at VGH coming soon

On Wednesday evening, a number of VCH staff gathered at Vancity Theatre for a special screening of ER: Life + Death, a documentary filmed in the VGH emergency department and the second in the popular series.

“This is what we do every day, but it was still exciting,” says Dr. Chad Kim Sing at the screening of the series. “It’s a different vantage point.”

“To see it on a big movie screen, it gave us a different angle, a third-party perspective,” adds Anthony, a nurse at VGH. “There was a couple in front of us in the theatre and they got squeamish a few times. We were like what’s wrong with them?! It’s what we do every day but to see if like that, from a third party perspective, It’s very powerful. What happens in the ED is very powerful.”

Rather frustrating to provide links to material that network computers are unable to play.

Sorry to hear that, David. Which link doesn’t work for you? Both links go to Knowledge Network’s website. They should work on VCH computers. They both work on mine.
