President CEO Mary Ackenhusen

“You would never go to a bank that worked on paper”

The Clinical and Systems Transformation (CST) project has launched the next phase – called the “clinical transformation and enterprise design phase” and confirmed that the first Coastal Group 1 sites to be activated in spring 2017 will be Lions Gate Hospital and Sea-to-Sky facilities.

VIDEO: CST will modernize our system

Watch this short video – it’s under 2 minutes! – to hear Mary Ackenhusen, CEO, talk about why it’s so important that we modernize our health care system, what it will mean for our patients, and what staff and physicians at the first sites can expect.

More about the enterprise design phase

The first VCH sites to go live in Group 1 include Lions Gate Hospital, HOpe Centre, Evergreen House, and North Shore Hospice in North Vancouver, along with Squamish General Hospital, Hilltop House, Pemberton Health Centre and Whistler Health Care Centre.

Learnings from Group 1 will be incorporated into successive implementations at other facilities. Implementation will start with Group 1, and will be followed by the BC Cancer Agency as Group 2. The sequence after Group 2 will be refined as we proceed with these first two groups.

It’s important to note, however, that the clinical transformation process of establishing common workflows and practices will be an ongoing process over the next year across all sites.
