Sustainable Transit booths: Get a VCH Commuter mug!

VCH recently announced the re-launch of the VCH Transit Subsidy Program to support staff who regularly commute by transit to work. Staff who enroll in the program receive a monthly transit subsidy of $11 for one zone, $12 for two zone, and $13 for three zone and West Coast Express to be paid out on the employee’s pay cheque.

Get a 2016 VCH Commuter Mug!

Help us spread the word and encourage others to commute by transit with your ‘I transit to VCH…ask me how!’ commuter mug. All you have to do to get a free mug is:

  • Enroll in the VCH Transit Subsidy program by submitting the enrollment form (first check the conditions for enrollment) or sign up in person at the VCH Sustainable Transit booth:
    • VGH: Jun 10 & 15, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm (JPP – across from the gift shop)
    • UBC: June 9, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm (main entry)
    • Richmond Hospital: June 14, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm (outside Starbucks)
    • Lions Gate Hospital: June 13, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm (outside cafeteria)
    • Stop by the booth to share why you take transit and/or nominate a colleague for transit commuter of the year via a short questionnaire. Mugs will be distributed at the booths.

*Staff who enrolled in the program by May 30 will also receive the questionnaire via email. If you have any questions about the transit mugs, please email Arthur Orsini, Active Transportation Facilitator.

The benefits

The benefits of regularly commuting by transit to work go beyond a financial subsidy. You can also add walking to your daily commute which contributes to your overall health and wellness, benefits the environment and saves on your commuting costs!
