New Baby Package goes online!

The new VCH parenting website, parenting.vch.ca, is now live! The new website is a one stop shop for new parents and caregivers. From pregnancy to preschool – parenting.vch.ca has all the vital information new parents and caregivers need to keep their new babies healthy.

VCH Public Health has created the site to provide access to health education materials to promote healthy child development. The site is intended for families in the prenatal period, and who have  infants and children up to five years old. Community partners in early childhood care and learning and other health care providers will also find the new site useful.

Going green

Typically Public Health nurses provide a very large and cumbersome printed “New Baby Package” of material to new parents and caregivers. But our clients have been increasingly asking us for paperless, mobile, and web based information. This new website will reduce the number of packages we will distribute, though the hard copy material will still be available upon request.

Please note that the Child Health Passports will continue to be distributed hard-copy to each child.
