Every week is patient safety week at VCH. Safe care is patient centred care, and our recent Accreditation Canada survey showed that patient and family centred care is at the core of what we do every day to provide safe, high quality care throughout VCH.
A quiz for providers
For Canadian Patient Safety Week 2016, the Canadian Patient Safety Institute is inviting health care providers to take this fun online quiz: Patient’s Dream or Scream: What kind of provider are you? The questions and tongue-in-cheek answers shine a spotlight on the many ways in which care providers share information with patients and families, and encourage them to ask questions and be actively involved in their own care.
A quiz for patients
As we know, providers are only part of the equation for safe, quality care. Engaged, well-informed patients and family members who are not afraid to speak up and ask questions play an essential role in safety, and so there’s a fun online quiz for them too: Provider’s Dream or Scream: What kind of patient are you?
