Call for abstracts: BC Quality Forum 2018

The Quality Forum is an annual event that brings together hundreds of people who are passionate about improving the quality of health care to learn, connect and share their work with each other. Presentations from participants are a central part of the Quality Forum – this is your chance to tell everyone about your big ideas, success stories and lessons learned from your work! Presentation abstracts for Quality Forum 2018 are due September 8, 2017.

Quality Forum 2018

Organized by the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council, Quality Forum 2018 will take place February 21-23, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. Over 1,200 people are expected to attend, representing diverse perspectives in the health care system – from physicians, pharmacists and nurses to quality improvement professionals, executives, administrators, students and patients.

What to present?

Submit an abstract on any topic related to providing better patient care in one of these two categories:

  • Demonstrated Results are projects that are underway or complete and have led to “how-to” tips and lessons that can be shared with participants. A project does not have to be considered a success – failures provide valuable learning opportunities too!
  • Novel Ideas include original thinking, promising practices or emerging ways of “how to improve care” that are too young to have results. You can seek input, inspire collaboration, and motivate action at an early stage.
