Are you looking to advance your clinical and leadership skills? Join the Experienced Resource Nurse Team (ERNT) for Vancouver Tertiary and Acute Mental Health and Substance Use Programs at VGH and UBC Hospital and work at a leadership level while providing direct care across multiple in-scope units and supporting new and existing staff.

Carole Rudko, new Manager of the new Experienced Resource Nurse Team explains, “The ERN role provides a unique opportunity for nurses to provide mentoring skills while practicing and role modeling excellence in patient and family care.”

Benefits of working in the ERNT

  • Work a regular rotation in a DC2 position.
  • Be a clinical leader and mentor to new staff while providing direct patient care.
  • Gain a wide variety of experience working across multiple acute and tertiary units.

Farinah Kadir, ERN, loves the constant variety of the job. “Some people think that working on multiple units could feel uprooting, but for me it’s the opposite. The staff are welcoming and always ready to help.”
