Webinar: transforming health care for Indigenous people

You are invited to join us for our next Indigenous Cultural Safety (ICS) webinar on Wednesday, May 2,  from 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. with our guest Mara Andrews, MBA, WHO Fellow. Mara will be discussing what  governmental and non-governmental organizations are doing in other parts of the world to transform health care and deliver culturally safe services for Indigenous peoples.

About Mara Andrews

Mara originates from New Zealand and has been working in the arena of Indigenous Health for many years. This includes working directly with First Nations on-reserve, urban Aboriginal communities and Aboriginal service providers; First Nations governance partners in health; the Ministry of Health; Health Canada; provincial health authorities and the Assembly of First Nations.

Mara is the Director of Kahui Tautoko Consulting Ltd (an Indigenous Consulting company) with offices in New Zealand, Canada and most recently Hawaii. Mara has an MBA and is a World Health Organization Fellow and is currently completing her PHD researching the devolution of health care management from governments to Indigenous peoples.
